ISFiR- the International Student Festival in Rome will be arranged from 16 to 25  July 2003.

How do I apply for ISFiR 2003?

We need some personal information about you as well as 1 short essay (200 words) about yourself, about your experience and interests. What do you study? What is your motivation for participating in ISFiR 2003? Have you participated in similar festivals before? Are you a member of a student organization? If yes, please specify.

The essay have to be written in english, because this the language of the festival, and so we can get an impression about your knowledge in english language.

How do I learn that I will be invited?

The ISFiR administration makes every effort to provide applicants with a final decision on their application as early as possible.

You will receive mail. Please don't write an e-mail every day and ask about it.

How much do I have to pay to participate?

You have to pay 300EUR to take part in ISFiR 2003.

Payment of course fees must be received by July 10.

Payment instructions will be given in the formal letter of admission.

After June 1 no fees are refundable.

 All costs for travel arrangements as well as health insurance have to be covered by the participants.
Although the ISFiR will provide medical care by a local general practitioner in minor cases, students must provide their own medical insurance.

Where will I live during ISFiR?

As a participant at ISFiR 2003 you will have no expenses to food and accommodation.

During your stay in Rome you will be living at the Hotel Rubino Rome or The Hotel Delle Muse.

 

How safe is Rome?

Rome, as Italy in general, is considered to be fairly safe.  However, it is important to note that Rome is a fairly large city, where like in any other major metropolitan area, crime does exist.

What is the weather like?

The summers in Rome tend to be hot, with temperatures ranging form 25 to 35 degrees centigrade.

What type of clothes should I bring? What is the dress code like?

The dress at the ISFiR is generally casual, but one nice outfit for special occasions is needed. Informal summer clothes are usually suitable for Rome.

Is there access to computers/Internet?

There will be access to a computer lab. Internet access is also available in the rooms for those who bring their own portable computer.

How many students attend the ISFiR and where do they come from?

The ISFiR brings together some 450 students aged 18 to 50 from 90-100 different countries. Since its beginning in 1990, 18000 students representing more than 150 nations have attended the ISFiR.
