Festival Meetings
During the festival
there will be a series of meetings, which all participants can attend.
They represent an opportunity for you to learn more about different
aspects of the festival theme, "Challenging Attitudes". These meetings
will also give you the possibility to meet the students and
inhabitants of Rome.
Grand hall sessions
Plenary meetings will
be held in the Grand Hall at the Students Society. These meetings,
which raise questions connected to the main theme of the festival,
feature lectures by prominent personalities within the different
fields concerned. Participants at these meetings will be given the
opportunity to put questions to the speakers.
Thematic meetings
These meetings will
further develop aspects of the theme, "Challenging Attitudes". They
will be smaller than the Grand Hall meetings, and therefore allow
dialogue and debate to a greater extent than the plenary meetings.
The Students Peace
Prize
This prize was first
introduced at the 1999 festival, and aims to give recognition to a
student or a student organization that has shown a special initiative
to promote peace, reconciliation and human rights. ISFiR awards the
prize, with the support of the institutions of higher education in
Italy. Candidates can be nominated to receive the prize.

Culture
Who are the most eager
ones to challenge attitudes? Throughout time, the world's most famous
artists and actors have challenged time and place. Art and cultural
expressions find their way through the heart and mind of people, and
the cultural program of ISFiR 2003 is no exception.
Through every aspect of
culture the goal is to appreciate the language of art as a common
language to us all - showing the theme of this years ISFiR in a
totally different way. We want to give you a "kick in the head"
through experiencing the energetic atmosphere of the very special red
and round house of our student's union. Both Italian and international
artists will perform and as a participant you are most welcome to
contribute. All participants will have free entrance to the cultural
events.
